Meet the Team Behind Furracabad Angus

Running a successful 6,800-acre seedstock operation requires a dedicated team of passionate people. At Furracabad Angus, our day-to-day operations and long-term vision are guided by staff who live and breathe the beef industry.

Leading the charge on the ground is our Manager, Brett Krafft. With over 35 years of experience in the beef industry, Brett is the public face of Furracabad Angus. He implements our strategic business plans, leads our bull marketing, and provides clear direction and leadership to the entire crew.

Working closely with Brett is Zac Shepherd, our Cattle Supervisor/Overseer. Known for his calm, low-stress approach, Zac handles our grass-fed Angus within our cell grazing system, ensuring top-tier animal welfare standards.

Out on the station, our Senior Station Hand, John Pilkington, keeps everything running smoothly by maintaining fences, water systems, and managing feral pests. Rounding out our on-ground crew is Ruby Sheather, our Junior Station Hand, who is rapidly developing her skills in low-stress stock handling and cattle husbandry under Zac’s guidance.

Together, overseen by our Management Committee led by Owner Geoff Putland, this team ensures that Furracabad Angus continues to deliver reliable, high-value genetics to the Australian commercial beef producer.
