At Furracabad Station, we take our role as “Land and Environmental Custodians” very seriously. Located at the head of the Furracabad and Mathieson Valleys south of Glen Innes, our 6,800-acre property features everything from rich black basalt flats to red basalt high country. While the landscape is stunning, we know that true agricultural success starts from the ground up.
When we took over the property, we immediately transitioned from traditional management to regenerative and sustainable practices. We developed extensive water and fencing infrastructure, expanding to around 240 paddocks to support a high-density cell grazing management system.

Our core belief is simple: healthy living soil + healthy grass + healthy water = Healthy Cattle.
We don’t use chemical fertilizers. Instead, we use a compost extract foliar application enriched with trace minerals to boost soil microbial activity, balancing bacteria and fungi. We maintain a Carbon Project across the entire property and focus heavily on maximizing soil health through diverse grass species and legumes. By timing our calving to match nature and our highest pasture production, we ensure our cattle thrive while our landscape continuously regenerates.
